1. Who is responsible for your data
Linqn is run from Spain by its founding team, which decides how and why the data described below is processed and is therefore the controller of it. You can reach us about anything on this page at info@linqn.me.
2. What we collect and why
When you visit this site
The site sets no analytics or advertising cookies and does not profile visitors. The only thing stored on your device is your answer to the cookie banner, which stays in your browser and is never sent to us. See the cookie policy. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent) to serve the pages and to detect abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a secure site. Logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
When you contact us or ask for access
If you email us or use a call to action to request access to the alpha, we process the email address and whatever you choose to tell us, so we can reply and, if you asked for it, give you an account when your seat is ready. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request prior to a contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in answering correspondence. We keep this for as long as we are in contact plus a reasonable follow-up period, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Fonts and other third-party requests
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and user agent as part of that request. This involves a transfer to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. If you would rather not have that request made at all, we can self-host the fonts. Tell us and we will.
3. Who else sees your data
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled by the suppliers we need in order to run the service (hosting, email delivery and error monitoring) each acting as a processor under a written agreement (art. 28 GDPR), and only on our instructions. We disclose data to public authorities only where the law requires it.
4. Transfers outside the EEA
Where a supplier processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any extra safeguards the transfer needs.
5. How long we keep it
Only as long as the purpose it was collected for requires, or as long as the law obliges us to. Server logs are short-lived; correspondence is kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period after; anything you ask us to delete is deleted unless we have a legal reason to retain it.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
- correct anything inaccurate or incomplete (rectification);
- delete it (erasure);
- restrict how we use it, or object to a use based on legitimate interest;
- send it to you or another controller in a machine-readable format (portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
Write to info@linqn.me and we will respond within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) or to the supervisory authority where you live or work.
7. Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Access to any personal data we hold is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but where a breach is likely to put your rights at risk we will notify you and the supervisory authority as the GDPR requires.
8. Children
Linqn is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
9. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top, and for anything material we will tell the people it affects directly.
